As a follow-up it might be helpful for hail damage claimants to know of the following case as a reference and argument:
The measure of damages for hail loss consists of the decrease in the market value of the structure or the cost of repairing the hail damage, whichever is less: Campion v. Hochheim Prairie Farm Mut. Insurance, 644 S.W. 2d 795 Tex. Civ. App., 1982.
